MLB The Show 21 Announced For Xbox And PlayStation

The latest episode of Sony first-party developer San Diego Studio’s PlayStation exclusive baseball franchise, MLB The Show 21, has been announced for both PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

It will be released on April 20, PS4 / Xbox One versions will be available for $ 59.99 USD / £ 59.99 GBP, and next-generation versions for USD 69.99 USB / 69.99 GBP.

The emergence of a new platform for gaming also means cross-platform play and cross-progression has been introduced, meaning that MLB The Show 21 players can move progress across both PlayStation and Xbox platforms and play multiplayer with all players in both console families.

More new features will appear as part of the six Feature Premiere streams beginning March. Another announcement showing the game’s Collector’s Edition will be made on February 3rd.

While you’ll have to wait until then to find out what’s inside the more premium version, the PlayStation Blog suggests that only Collector’s Edition will have a free next-generation upgrade. In an article by game designer Ramone Russell, developer San Diego Studio, he said there would be no standard upgrade path from the current generation to the next generation.

While the regular print is the only print ever shown, the artwork is this year’s cover athlete: Fernando “El Nino” Tatis Jr. As the Xbox version was leaked last week.
