Elon Musk Announces His Single Console Game

Elon Musk is no stranger to video games. Tesla’s popular CEO not only made sure that his cars would be able to play video games for years to come, but he always announced this while playing a new title. Despite primarily sticking to the PC platform, Musk has now announced the only game series he is willing to break the ranks to play on consoles.

In a new interaction on Twitter, Musk was asked what his favorite console game was. In the past, Musk has made it clear that he spends his gaming time primarily on the PC, but the world-renowned businessman has revealed that the Halo series is the only franchise to play on consoles. Musk specifically stated that Halo was the only game he played on a platform other than PC, and clearly demonstrated his commitment to hardware. Then again, when you’re the richest man in the world and you have PC hardware that others can only dream of, it seems hard to blame him for not playing on consoles.

The ironic about Musk’s announcement is that most of the mainline Halo series are no longer connected to consoles. Over the past year, developer 343 Industries has moved the entire Halo: The Master Chief Collection to PC. In total, this collection contains six entries in the series, and Halo 5: Guardians is the only noteworthy shortcoming. So if Musk still wants to play games but prefers to do it on PC, he now has this option.

Over the past month, Musk seems to have been consumed more by Cyberpunk 2077. Musk continued to praise his aesthetics and design, although he clearly had some concerns about the game, including the numerous updates he needed.

It remains to be seen whether any future release on consoles could convince Musk to jump ship, but if it wasn’t won at this point, it probably never will. Considering how busy Musk is, I’m sure he’s happy when he can get into any game.
