Lord of the Rings: Gollum Postponed to Next Year

Developer Daedalic Entertainment’s Lord of the Rings: Gollum will not be released this year as originally announced and will arrive on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC in 2022.

Lord of the Rings: Gollum, action-adventure has been limited since its announcement in March 2019, but we finally got the idea when Daedalic released the first trailer last August. Although the cinematic trailer didn’t say much, Daedalic confirmed that he was shooting for subtle tactical stealth, environmental confusing, climbing challenges, and fast-paced parkour action.

During the August update, Daedalic said he expected the game on Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC in late 2021. However, a new press release announcing a broadcast and distribution agreement between Daedalic and NACON confirms that these initial release plans have changed, and Lord of the Rings: Gollum is now set to launch in 2022.

There is no explanation for the current delay, but I hope Daedalic will share more soon.
