New Knights Of The Old Republic Game In Development After 17 Years

Well, that was unexpected. But finally, after all those years, a new Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic game is in development.

The first game of Knights of The Old Republic was released in 2003, made by BioWare. After its sequel which was released in 2004, the series went pretty much dead. We didn’t hear any news about it and that goes for anything else.

After the return of Lucasfilm games, EA Games lost those rights of their own for Star Wars games. And things have been already fast enough with everything, still, this is a great thing to hear.

The news comes from multiple sources, one of the most trustable sources, Star Wars insider podcast Bespin Bulletin, confirmed the project without specifying a developer. Here are the things he said:

“Amongst my digging, I heard there is a Knights of the Old Republic project in development somewhere, […] I talked to a couple of people, and I also found out that Jason Schreier said that it’s not with EA, and we’ll never guess’ who the studio is that’s making this game.”

He also commented on some opinions on the developer, “I don’t know if the bounty hunter game is with them or if it’s with Ubisoft,” he said, “But yeah, EA is working on stuff and there’s another unannounced game at EA, which I have no idea what it is. I don’t think it’s Battlefront 3.”
