Fans of The Warriors Campaign For Remake 15 Years Later

The Warriors is based on the 1979 movie of the same name, which was based on a 1965 novel by author Sol Yurick. In an age where most of the video game movie connections were hurriedly coupled with cash grabs released within a week of the next big blockbuster movie, Rockstar took the time to create quality.

Rockstar’s classic made such a lasting impression on fans that, in fact, even 15 years after the game’s original release, there are still those who are actively fighting for a modern remake.

A quick review via Google reveals multiple petitions to re-manage the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Some were established years ago, others are only a few months old. In any case, there are hundreds of signatures from fans who signed up with nothing but fond memories of the original game.

While these petitions did not reach anything, it is proud to see reconstruction support from hundreds of loyal fans.

Will we see The Warriors remake for next-generation consoles? We don’t know. But as long as fans of the original game are willing to petition, start Facebook groups, and shout about their love for The Warriors to anyone and everyone who will listen, I think this is a game that no one will forget. Who knows what will happen if this is a long enough fight? Perhaps the Warriors could appear to play one last time.
