‘Blind Playthrough’ Tag Is Removed By Twitch

We all know the ‘Blind Playthrough’ tag, it’s used when the player is not aware of the mechanics and story of the game. We also know that blind people can play games as well. But the ‘Blind Playthrough’ tag is not representing this scenario, and the tag is now removed and no longer will be used. Twitch’s director of community and creator marketing Erin Wayne tweeted about the situation on Twitter.

Steve Tyler, owner of YouTube channel Blind Gamer and media editor of caniplaythat.com accessibility website expressed gratitude for the taken action on the matter by twitch.

  1. We do of course realize that the people who this may offend more than likely cannot enev see the word….. so taking it off the tag line means nothing if its still said on the stream….. this is just silliness
