Sony has released system update 20.02-02.25.00 for PS5. Details are currently unknown. The official statement only says that this system software update will improve system performance.
Since launch, unverified reports have pointed to possible issues with PS5’s rest mode and crashes with the external hard drive. It is among the rumors that this update may be an attempt to fix these issues.
If you want to download the update manually, go to:
Settings> System> System Software> System Software Update and Settings> Update System Software.
The update comes shortly before the second launch day on November 19, when the PS5 will be released in many new regions, including Europe, after its release on November 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea.
