70% of Xbox Series X and S Owners Own Game Pass
70% of Xbox Series S and X owners subscribe to Xbox Game Pass. The company has confirmed that the Xbox is celebrating its biggest console launch ever.
Xbox today announced that the joint launch of Series X and Series S was the most successful in the company’s history, confirming that 70% of these new consoles were added to new or existing Game Pass members. Also, Xbox said more new consoles were sold at this launch than previous-generation launches, with the Xbox Series S added to the highest percentage of new players for any Xbox console.
Liz Hamren, corporate vice president of Xbox gaming experiences and platforms, said 3,594 games spanning four generations of Xbox were played at the launch of the Series, a record for the company.
According to Hamren, the Xbox is trying to buy more Series X and S consoles as the console are mostly not sold worldwide, encouraging people to contact local retailers for specific details about availability in their market. This comes days after the launch of the Xbox Series X and S, where scalpers sold the console two to three times its standard price on Amazon and Ebay.
