PlayStation Web Store Will Not Sell PS3, Vita, or PSP Games

The web and mobile versions of PlayStation Store are going through major visual maintenance, but some items in the store will no longer be available for sale. On Thursday, Sony emailed PlayStation customers to inform them that items such as PS3 games, PS Vita Games, PSP Games, apps, avatars, and themes can no longer be purchased on the web or mobile versions of the PlayStation Store.

All these items will be removed from the PlayStation web store between October 21-26 and when available on mobile devices on October 28. According to Sony’s PlayStation support website, these features may have rolled out on mobile and web stores in October. These items will not disappear forever, you will be able to purchase games and add-ons for these consoles by signing indirectly from the PlayStation Store from that console. Also, apps, avatars, and themes can be purchased from the PS4 version of the store.

Sony also adds that any content you’ve previously purchased can be downloaded to your PS3, PSP or PS Vita.
