Borderlands 3 Comes to New Generation Consoles

Gearbox announced that Borderlands 3 will arrive on PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and these next-generation versions will support three-player and four-player split-screen.

These new ports will be available for free to existing Borderlands 3 owners on PS4 and Xbox One. These legacy consoles will also receive an update that will bring support for vertical split-screen collaboration action in the future. There is no information about the time of these new next- generation connection points.

Borderlands 3 is one of the many current generation games brought to the PS5 and new Xbox consoles. Most publishers and developers follow the same path as Borderlands 3 and allow players to upgrade to new consoles for free, assuming they already have the current generation versions. However, there are exceptions like Control. If players want to play in the new generation, they will have to buy new versions of that game.
