Cast of New Mortal Kombat Movie Announced
The cast of the upcoming Mortal Kombat reboot movie has been announced. The upcoming movie will be produced by James Wan. James Wan previously produced Aquaman, Furious 7, Insidious, Saw. The movie Reboot will be R rated and will feature some pretty gory scenes. Production of the movie continues in Australia.
Mehcad Brooks as Jackson “Jax” Briggs
Mehcad Brooks will give life to the character of Jackson “Jax” Briggs in the reboot movie. Jackson “Jax” Briggs is a super-soldier with his cybernetic arm. You may have seen Mehcad Brooks on Desperate Housewives, The Game, or Supergirl. Gregory McKinney and Lynn Williams played the character of Jackson “Jax” Briggs in previous films.
Chin Han as Shang Tsung
Chin Han will give life to the character of Shang Tsung in the reboot movie. Shang Tsung is Liu Kang’s archenemy and a warlock. You may have seen Chin Han before in Marco Polo or The Dark Knight. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa had played Shang Tsung in previous films.
Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion
Hiroyuki Sanada will give life to the character Scorpion in the reboot movie. Scorpion is a ninja and one of the most loved characters in the series. You may have seen Hiroyuki Sanada in Avengers: Endgame, Lost, or Westworld before. Chris Casamassa and J.J. Perry played Scorpion in previous films.
Tadanobu Asano as Raiden
Tadanobu Asano will bring the character of Raiden to life in the reboot movie. Raiden is a celestial being capable of teleporting and controlling lightning. You may have seen Tadanobu Asano in Thor: Ragnarok before. Christopher Lambert and James Remar had played Raiden in previous films.
Stringer of Sisi as Mileena
Sisi Stringe will bring the character of Mileena to life in the reboot movie. Mileena (Kitana’s evil clone) is a deadly character who wants nothing more than killing her own sister. Dana Hee had played Mileena in previous films.
Ludi Lin as Liu Kang
Ludi Lin will bring the character of Liu Kang to life in the reboot movie. Liu Kang is one of the Earth’s most powerful and skilled warriors and enemy of Shang Tsung. You may have seen Ludi Lin in Power Rangers or Black Mirror before. Robin Shou had played Liu Kang in previous films.
Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero
Joe Taslim will bring the character of Sub-Zero to life in the reboot movie. Sub-Zero has the power to control ice and is one of the most loved character in the series. You may have seen Joe Taslim in The Raid, Fast & Furious 6 or The Night Comes for Us before. Francois Petit and Keith Cooke had played Sub-Zero in previous films.
Josh Lawson as Kano
Josh Lawson will bring the character of Kano to life in the reboot movie. Kano has a cybernetic heart and is the leader of The Black Dragon, a crime formation. You may have seen Josh Lawson in House of Lies before. Trevor Goddard had played Kano in previous films.
Jessica Mcnamee as Sonya Blade
Jessica Mcnamee will bring the character of Sonya Blade to life in the reboot movie. Sonya Blade is a special ops member and her archenemy is Kano, who killed her previous partner. Bridgette Wilson and Sandra Hess had played Sonya Blade in previous films.
Max Huang as Kung Lao
Max Huang will give life to the character of Kung Lao in the reboot movie. Kung Lao has a hat sharp enough to cut a person into two. Kung Lao has not appeared in previous movies.
The movie Mortal Combat will be directed by Simon McQuoid and will be released in 2021.
