Konami, has decided to change the game engine of PES in the new generation and announced that from now on, they will use the Unreal Engine 5 instead of Fox Engine. But this situation won’t effect this year’s game, because the decision will be practiced in 2022.
What’s more, this year’s PES won’t be a different game. In order to focus on the game’s new generation, the Konami will launch 2021’s PES as the previous version’s squad update. Before the real tournament of the 2021, there will be official UEFA Euro 2020 content in the game. The players will also be able purchase the PES 2021’s special club versions from the digital platforms.
Like the FIFA’s Legacy Edition versions, PES 2021 AND 2022 has gone through small changes and the teams’ updated squads will be presented to the players. That’s why Konami says the price will be ‘economic’. Moreover, this year is the 25th year of PES game and they want to reach more players.
To summarize; the PES 2022, the new PES game which will be released in the late 2021, will come to the market with the new game engine.
