Get ready and crazy fellas as the new Witcher game is nearly confirmed by Adam Kiciński. During an interview with Bankier, he suggested that “[They] will not leave the world of The Witcher” implying that they wanted to make a new game in the future for sure. “So? We already know that!” you might say. Yes, we already heard that before. But hearing it from the head of the company is something else. Well, hearing anything about The Witcher is something exciting in any case, right?
However, what is important about this interview is that the new game might not be called The Witcher 4: “The first three ‘Witchers’ were by definition a trilogy, so we simply could not name the next game ‘The Witcher 4’,” says Kiciński. “The Witcher is one of two franchises on which to build the future activities of the company[…] Today, unfortunately, I can not reveal anything more.”
These words of Kiciński reveals a lot actually. He doesn’t say, of course, that they will absolutely work on a new Witcher game. But these implications are pretty enough for the huge fan base of the franchise. And I can easily say that I won’t be sleeping peacefully before I can hear more about this possibility.
Keep it in mind that Geralt is probably removed forever from the upcoming games as it was indicated by devs and CEOs of CD Projekt RED numerous times before. Also, we have to emphasize the fact that the game is neither in development, nor it is completely confirmed. It is just something we hope for and something we get from reading between the lines of Kiciński.
In any case, stay hyped and stay tuned for more!
