Lords of the Fallen 2 will be developed by Defiant Studios

According to the announcement made by CI Games, the highly anticipated sequel of Lords of the Fallen, Lords of the Fallen 2 will be developed by Defiant Studios.

Lords of the Fallen was originally developed by Deck13 which is familiar with The Surge and Lords of the Fallen. The sequel is now at the hands of Defiant Studios. Founder and Managing Director of Defiant Studios David Grijns has something to say about this collaboration:

We have been talking with CI Games for several months now, and went through a detailed process of getting to know one another’s expectations and motivations in regards to Lords of the Fallen 2. We are happy that we can commit our studio to developing a great game in a well-established franchise. Our team has been excited about the chance to make the next LotF from the moment we started to work on our pitch for CI. We are particularly thrilled about the creative freedom that CI Games is willing to offer.

Lords of the Fallen 2, was announced on December 18 and was set to be released in 2017. Well, we will be back with a release date soon, we hope.
