Tomb Raider remaster projects have been canceled

Recently, we had informed you guys about the upcoming remastered versions of Tomb Raider 1,2 and 3 but unfortunately, the project has been canceled. The developer team, Realtech VR, has announced on a tweet that they stopped working on the remastered versions:

This is sad news indeed for Tomb Raider fans and the fact that these improvements were supposed to be free for the owners of the original DOS versions of the game, if they ever could have had the chance to be released of course. They were kind of modes which would cover improvements like a new 3D renderer, improved textures and shaders, featured real-time dynamic shadows, 4K resolution support and anti-aliasing. But unfortunately, all these ‘better stuff’ will stay as a dream, at least for now.
