Fight the Nazis & the spawn of Cthulhu in Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics

World War II and H.P. Lovecraft’s beloved Cthulhu are highly popular these days, but Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics achieves to create something which sounds weird as a theme. While playing the game, we will step into a world where a band of Allied heroes fight the Secret War against the Nazi Black Sun and their rivals Nachtwolfe.

We already know that Hitler was obsessed with mysticism, occultism and was looking for a greater power. What if he turned to ask for help from Old Ones? Well, maybe he did but clearly was not that successful. In the world of Achtung!, the Nazi factions have turned to the ancient and terrible powers of the Mythos, weaponizing evil to win the war. This move is starting to yield results as, powered with ancient secrets and terrible Mythos allies, Black Sun and Nachtwolfe are on the verge of unleashing terrible weapons upon the Allied forces. And, we are to stop them.

According to the developers, the game also has a momentum system. Here is what Auroch has to say about this system:

Each successful action builds momentum for the player, which in turn opens up new lines of tactical attack. Each playable character has a tailored momentum action, ranging from a rake of machine gun fire to a fast snap-shot with a pistol. When layered with basic commands and attacks, this momentum system allows the player to build ingenious combinations of tactical brilliance.
