System Shock: Remastered has been delayed

The remastered version of System Shock, System Shock: Remastered was already delayed to 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and now we are shaking with the news of a new delay. Well, actually we are not, but I always wanted to say that.

CEO of Nightdive Studios, Stephen Kick announced that the team behind System Shock: Remastered is now on hiatus. “Sometimes you need to take a step back in order to take two steps forward” he says.

As we all know, in June of 2016, a Kickstarter campaign went online for System Shock: Remastered and it was highly successful. But, Stephen Kick claims that they lost their focus and started to create a new System Shock game rather than a remastered version. Changes were made, so big that things got out of control after a while.

The main reason behind this was intention of creating a great System Shock game which will be loved by the community, yet Stephen Kick says that he regrets the decisions he made while trying to achieve his goal. So, the team is now on hiatus while they reassess their path so that they can return to their vision. They will continue working on the project and Kick says System Shock is going to be completed and all of their promises fulfilled.

Stay tuned!
