Well, we already know how to enable it unofficially, yet there is now a new patch which will enable it officially.
Previously, we’ve shared how to enable The Evil Within 2’s first-person perspective on PC and you can still read it by visiting here. After that, Bethesda and Tango Gameworks have released a patch which officially enables it. After downloading the patch, you can go to Options>General and change it to first-person mode.
The entirety of The Evil Within 2 can now be played in first-person on PS4, Xbox One and PC with this free update. For more detailed information, you can visit here.
Patch 1.04 also fixes some issues along with adding First Person Mode to the game. Here is the changelog:
- Added option to play in First Person Mode
- Various minor issues fixed
- [PS4 Pro ONLY] Fixes an issue where the native resolution upgrade included in the v1.03 update may not be properly enabled on 4K displays.
- Now correctly displays native resolution of 2240 x 1260, output at 3840 x 2160 on 4K monitors.
