Harry Potter AR game is on the way

Niantic Labs, the developers of Pokemon Go, has confirmed that a Harry Potter game is under development. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will be an AR experience like Pokemon Go.

Seems like Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will turn into us social zombies again like Pokemon Go did. It will launch in 2018 and allow players to go outside and wander around. We will collect  power-ups, explore the environment and defend ourselves against dark arts, hopefully.

We’re incredibly excited to announce this next step in the evolution of AR mobile entertainment. With Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, players that have been dreaming of becoming real life Wizards will finally get the chance to experience J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. Players will learn spells, explore their real world neighborhoods and cities to discover & fight legendary beasts and team up with others to take down powerful enemies.
