Call of Duty: WWII system requirements are announced

Start deleting your old games and ready your HDD and GPUs my fellow gamers.

The time is approaching for the next Call of Duty title. And now, it’s the time to see if our hardware is strong enough to run this game. Activision and Sledgehammer Games have revealed the system requirements for CoD: WWII. Apparently, you will need a strong GPU and a LOTS of hard-disc space. And don’t forget the CPU and RAM (oh boy…). Ready? Here is the full list of the requirements:

Minimum PC Spec:

  • OS: Windows 7 64-Bit or later
  • CPU: CPU: Intel® Core™ i3 3225 3.3 GHz or AMD Ryzen™ 5 1400
  • RAM: 8 GB RAM
  • HDD: 90 GB HD space
  • Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 660 @ 2 GB / GTX 1050 or ATI® Radeon™ HD 7850 @ 2GB / AMD RX 550
  • DirectX: Version 11.0 compatible video card or equivalent
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

Recommended PC Spec:

  • CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-2400 or AMD Ryzen R5 1600X
  • RAM: 12 GB RAM
  • HDD: 90 GB HD space
  • Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 970 / GTX 1060 @ 6GB or AMD Radeon™ R9 390 / AMD RX 580
  • DirectX: Version 11.0 compatible video card or equivalent
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

It shouldn’t be shocking to see GTX 10-something to run the new games nowadays. But it is sad… What is actually shocking, if you ask me of course, the HDD space you need to be able to install the game. 90GB is a lot… But the game itself has already received many positive feedback from the beta testing. And with the newest visuals, it is kind of understandable that it requires a lot of free space. But still… 90GB? Say goodbye to your internet connection…

The list can be a little scary. But don’t worry if your numbers do not match. For example, don’t get scared when you see the GTX 1050 on the list (or in any list) as there is no huge difference between that card and the older ones like GTX 950 or even 860. But I cannot say the same for GTX 1060. No matter what, it’s good to know that we don’t need the allmighty GTX 1080TI to play the game (yet!). As for the CPU, it is pretty obvious and understandable that high-end games like this require some powerful stuff. *sigh* Technology changes crazy fast, huh?

But anyways! The game will be released on PC on November 3rd. Soon, we will have the chance to give it a try.

Until then, stay tuned fellas.
