The Evil Within 2 is now out on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to send shivers down your spine. Yes, it is a third-person shooter by Tango Gameworks, yet it has a fully functional first-person perspective on PC hidden somewhere.

We now know that the game supports first-person perspective which can be enabled via the game’s console. This is a brilliant surprise since first-person perspective makes everything a little bit more edgy when it comes to horror games.

The first thing you need to do is to open the console and type ‘pl_FPS 1’. And the second thing you need to do is to enjoy the game in first-person mode. In order to enable the in-game console, you need to follow these steps:

  • Create a shortcut on your desktop and add: +com_allowconsole 1
  • Start the game from the shortcut
  • While in game, press the insert key to bring the console
