UNRECT – An addictive 2D sandbox survival

Unrect is an upcoming 2D sandbox game in which we take the role of a tiny colonist. Even though we look tiny and cute, our burden is heavy and responsibilities are  just around the corner.

Basically, Unrect is a survival game shares similarities with Minecraft and amongst these similarities we can count the ability to create an addiction. While playing the game we must dig, build and extend our colony. Isn’t the only purpose of every living thing? Breed and prevent extinction. Or at least, die trying. In order to achieve our goal, we must collect and preserve the life source which is scattered around the world. This essence which is also ‘the life source’ will let us extend our colony and build a safe base for us to live.

As we keep going, we will extend and improve our base. With better conditions, we will have a better chance to survive against our enemies. Also, we will be able to build offensive and defensive mechanisms to protect our base. We can assign our colonist to works such as producing essence and defensing our base with turrets.

Unrect offers a vast open world for us to dig and dig more. Lots of caves and areas will be available for us to explore and defeat enemy bases. Here, take a look at the gameplay trailer:
