So you had a bad day huh? You feel like you have something inside you that wants to come out. Something that urges you to punch someone in the face. However, unfortunately, you’ve already finished every single game that you had to quench the thirst of violence. Worry no more friend. A Russian Indie team, Sobaka Studio, has just revealed the release date of their title, Redeemer. And you will have many enemies to punch in the face…or to do more.
Redeem yourself from your past…by redeeming others from their existence.
The game is a top-down action game where you use many different techniques to tear your enemies apart. I mean literally. You punch them to death, use your hammer to crush their skulls or throw them into an industrial grinder. Or just blow them up with your skills and weapons. You can even be patient ant break their necks without letting them know that you’re coming.
The main character is Vasily, “an elite operative once worked for one of the biggest arms industry corporations in the world”. After your long carrier of “getting things done by violence”, the company that you worked for decided to kick you out. Giving you the chance to join a monastery in order to find peace and harmony. But apparently, it was not enough for your violent nature. Now, the company is getting closer to your location after 20 years of solitude. And you need redemption…
Redeemer is a game in which you will find violence and gore without limits. The environment will be interactive so that you can find different ways to massacre your enemies. The main features of the game are:
- Intense Top Down Action: Take out enemies using a wide selection of fire arms and melee weapons including combat knifes, batons, fire axes, hammers and many more.
- Brutal Hand-to-Hand Combat: Use your mercenary skills to beat down your opponents using a collection of brutal fighting moves, stealth kills and even the very environment.
- Story Driven Single-Player: Discover Vasily’s haunted past and experience a narrative journey of betrayal and redemption.
- Arena Mode: Practice and test your fighting skills by battling countless enemies in a horde-like Arena Mode.

So, if you like violent action games like this, you’ll probably enjoy Redeemer. The game will be released on August 1st. Although it is mainly made for PC, the devs want to make it available for consoles in the future.
