Rebellion Reveals Plans About Evil Genius 2

As a unique and well received RTS game, Evil Genius is getting a sequel from Rebellion studios. During an interview, the CEO of Rebellion studios revealed that they were working on Evil Genius 2. The studio had released other shooter titles like Sniper Elite and Strange Brigade. Now, we don’t know what kind of a RTS game we will receive.

The company declared that they had this idea for a long time but other projects were getting in the way. As we know, recently, Rebellion has released and revealed many other games. And they still work on games that will be released soon. That means two things: first of all, Evil Genius 2 will not be released soon. We know that it’s still an idea on its early stages. And considering the fact that the unique Asura engine of the company will be used for this game, it would be correct to say that it makes us realize that it would take some time to adapt the game to it. Secondly, we can assume that Rebellion will focus on other titles before making an official and more clear statement for the development of Evil Genius.

We need some time to be sure

Even though it’s a long project and we won’t probably hear from it for a while, fans will be happy to hear that a sequel is coming. Moreover, it was stated that, and we think it’s an important statement, the game will not be a remastered version. On the contrary, it will be a standalone sequel of the original game. So it will be neither free-to-play nor an addition to the original game. Lastly, we should not forget to mention that the team is focusing only on the PC version. However, in the future, they will see and decide if it will be possible to make it available for other platforms.

We still have some time to decide whether it is going to be a successful attempt or not. But other than that, even the idea of getting a new Evil Genius game is exciting.

So stay tuned for more news fellas and until we hear from the title, enjoy the video!
