Need for Speed: Payback is Officially Revealed

Finally, Ghost Games has just released an official reveal trailer for Need for Speed: Payback. After a letter from devs to inform the fans about the upcoming game and the list of games that will be available to test in EA Play event, we’ve finally got the chance to lay our eyes on something official.

“Need for Speed Payback has a single player campaign that follows the exploits of former street racer Tyler Morgan. After being double-crossed and forced into exile, it’s time for Payback.” says Ghost games and thus, gives us an example for the play style and the story of the new NfS product.

The new game features different “classes” of cars. Depending on what you want to do on the road or how do you want to show off your skills, cars in NfS: Payback comes with five different types: Race, Drift, Off-Road, Drag and Runner. According to the names of these car “classes” one can guess that depending on the race, you will be chosing between these. And of course, a Need for Speed game without a car customisation feature would be a regular racing game.

“Whatever you’re in the mood for, Fortune Valley has it all.”

Races will be held in a place called Fortune Valley with four different concepts. Silver Rock City will be your “downtown racing area” while you can drive like a sociopath in Liberty Desert. Or you can challenge others in Mount Providence to drift as if your tires were made of steel. And lastly, you have Silver Canyon.

Classic NfS features like getting reputation from your crazy moves or getting more money thanks to your lack of “conception of death” also will be available. Other than these, in NfS: Payback, we will have to deal with the cops too. You will have to be fast enough to not to get caught by the local police.

As for the visuals, we can see that it’s something breathtaking:

Ready, set, go!
