Papers, Please Short Movie Is Coming

The unique and splendid indie game ‘Papers, Please’ is getting a short film adaptation and it looks really really nice.

Papers, Please is set in Arstotzka after the 6-year war with neighboring Kolechia. Arstotzka reclaims its rightful half of the border town, Grestin. As a immigration inspector, we control the flow of people entering the Arstotzkan side of Grestin from Kolechia. That’s a hell of a job since with immigrants, there comes spies, terrorists and smugglers.

Our job is to check the documents provided by travelers and with the help of the Ministry of Admission’s primitive inspect, search, and fingerprint systems, decide who is to cross the border.

Lucas Pope, developer of the game, shared a tweet stating that a short movie adaptation of Papers, Please is on the way. Nikita and Liliya Ordynskiy are behind the short movie adaptation.

It is still too early to say anything, but from the looks of it, I dare to say that the movie adaptation will be as satisfying as the game.

Enjoy!
