“This is an exciting day for fans of Lifeless Planet and science fiction.”

Lifeless Planet is a puzzle platformer developed by independent company Stage 2 Studios. I had the pleasure of experiencing Lifeless Planet back in 2014 and enjoyed it like most of the community did.

Let anything alone, Lifeless Planet is a must because the tranquility it offers. Imagine being on a Mars-like planet. There is only you and the vast wasteland to explore. Lifeless Planet offers mesmerising sights, adventure and mystery a gamer would want from a walking simulator.

And now, Stage 2 Studios announced that Lifeless Moon is on the way. Lifeless Moon is still in early development stage but we have some details. The game is set in the early ’70s, many years before Lifeless Planet. In the trailer, we can see two astronauts on the Moon, on a mission but they see things that they are not expecting at all.

Lifeless Moon is not a direct prequel to Lifeless Planet yet the events are rooted in the same universe. According to studio founder David Board, the stories are “loosely connected, o in that sense, Lifeless Moon is a kind of a spiritual successor to Lifeless Planet. Fans of the first game will recognize and hopefully enjoy certain elements of the story.”

Again, like Lifeless Planet, Lifeless Moon will have mysterious puzzles but this time the game will be more focused on them.

There is also a Kickstarter campaign on the way and we will let you know when the time comes. Until then, you can take a look at these beautiful screenshots of Lifeless Moon.

Lifeless Moon will also support VR. Stay tuned for more!
