Styx: Shards of Darkness Co-op Looks Marvellous

Upcoming stealth game Styx: Shards of Darkness now has a release date and co-op trailer!

If you already haven’t experienced Styx: Master of Shadows, I highly recommend you to hurry up and give it a shot since it is one of the most beautiful stealth games around. Styx: Master of Shadows has smooth stealth mechanics, a rich atmosphere, a mysterious story and a very well designed protagonist which is a nasty goblin.

Styx: Master of Shadows once gave me everything that I want from a stealth game and Styx: Shards of Darkness is on the way as a prequel to the game. Once again, we will be controlling our centuries-old goblin on his journey, but this time we will delve deeper into the story.

From all the trailers and news we’ve gathered so far about the development of Shard of Darkness, we can see that everything has improved since Master of Shadows. But the best part is that Shard of Darkness has a co-op mode. Who can resist the idea of murdering everyone with friends? Not everyday we see co-op mode in stealth games since stealth doesn’t look like something you can achieve with friends. But, we can see that Cyanide did a great job.

I am sure that I will enjoy every co-op second of this game but I can’t say the same thing for my co-op friend (unintelligible roaring noises).

At any time during your adventure, you are able to invite a friend to join your current session to sneak around with you for an alternative stealth experience,” publisher Focus Home Interactive explained. “Two players opens up many more opportunities for clearing a level and reaching the objectives, but also doubles the risk of being spotted. Assassination partners must co-ordinate carefully in order to succeed!

Styx: Shards of Darkness will hit PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 14!

To infinity and beyond!
