EA’s subsidiary studio, Respawn, is developing a new game set in the Star Wars universe. The upcoming title is expected to follow in the footsteps of the Star Wars Jedi series, and much like its predecessor, it’s likely to be just as impressive.

Laura Miele, EA’s President of Entertainment and Technology, shared that since the release of the first game in 2019, it has reached over 40 million players. Given this success, it’s no surprise that a new installment is in the works.

During the 2024 Investor Day conference, Miele shared updates on the upcoming Star Wars Jedi game, revealing that it is currently being developed as the ‘final chapter’ of the series. She added that Respawn is putting in tremendous effort to deliver an exceptional experience, stating, “We have delivered some of the highest quality and best-selling Star Wars games of all-time, with over $5 billion in net bookings.”

No other upcoming games in the series were mentioned during the conference, and with the departure of former game director Stig Asmussen in 2023, it’s known that the project will require a new director. What kind of game we’ll be getting remains a mystery but we can expect more details in the next weeks.

Stay tuned for future updates!
