Styx: Shards of Darkness – New Gameplay Video, New Abilities

Our grumpy goblin assassin Styx made us carry more bodies that we’ve ever imagined in a single chapter… Any complaints? Well, apart from a cheesy narrative and obscenely repetitive level designs; we’ve had none. The world was a sight to see, gameplay elements were a lot of fun and the exclusive feeling of being an human-hunting antagonist with his own personal causes was priceless. Now, a sequel is on its way and it comes with new toys to hunt shiny-armored hypocrites.

Let’s have a look at the video, dear goblins and goblinettes:

The best thing about the video is its ending, for me. Channeling our existence into one of our clones is a great way to escape sticky situations –but would it make the game too easy, along with the acid mines we also notice in the video? We’ll see. A balanced difficulty setting is a must-have in such stealth games, and we are counting on Cyanide Studio for a much greater experience from its predecessor.

Styx: Shards of Darkness will be with us in March 2017, on PC, PS4 an Xbox One. Stay tuned!
