Scalebound is No Longer Coming

Scalebound, an action role-playing video game by Microsoft, was under development by PlatinumGames. It was looking good and we were of course, overly excited about Scalebound.

We were supposed to control Dew, who is accompanied by a dragon called Thuban. We were supposed to use various weapons to defeat verious enemies and like a dragonborn, we were supposed to command our dragon. We were supposed to bond to the game as Dew and Thuban are bonded.

Lastly, Microsoft cancelled Platinum’s Scalebound:

“After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for “Scalebound.” We’re working hard to deliver an amazing lineup of games to our fans this year, including “Halo Wars 2,” “Crackdown 3,” “State of Decay 2,” “Sea of Thieves” and other great experiences.”

Well, Scalebound is no more, guys. Go home and die.
