Open World Gameplay Video from NieR: Automata

And it’s half an hour long!

“Post-apocalipstick” said Lugo from Spec Ops: The Line and he got what he deserved for that terrible joke at the end of the game. We couldn’t help but remember his typo while watching this beautiful video from NieR: Automata.

In NieR: Automata, we give life to 2B, an charming android whose job is to clear the world from robots. These are the robots who have banished all humans from Earth to Moon, after the last 14th Machine War. The year is 11945 AD, and we need to purge some ugly looking robots for the glory of the mankind.

Here is the gameplay video:

In which we see some examples of open world activities such as “drone fishing”, some action, 2B tripping over obstacles and a virtual hammer that bashes the robot brains out. And, yes a useless companion that does nothing in fights. Developers state that he is in passive mode though.

Here is the story trailer:

A war between androids and machines. And windows phones. Heheheh.

Developed by Platinum Games, NieR: Automata will be out on March 7th (NA) and March 10th (EU) for PS4. It will be on our PCs in some other time.
