No Paragon/Renegade Dialogues in Mass Effect: Andromeda

Which is great news.

The same thing happened with Fallout 4. The most hated feature of Fallout 4 was its dialogue system, and we can’t say the fans were wrong hating it. After New Vegas’ endless dialogues, F4 lowered the bar greatly.

Mass Effect, in the other hand; was like that from the beginning. You had limited choices while speaking to NPCs, and you perfectly knew what choice will gain you Paragon or Renegade points. Upside was Paragon, downside was Renegade. Left rude, right heroic. The dialogues were supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, but the lack of choices surely did kill the mood.

Paragons can’t kick ass? WHY?

Well, here are the great news people: That system is gone. In Mass Effect: Andromeda, we’ll have dialogues based on agreeing/disagreeing. Via GamesRadar, we learned that the developers also got bored and will change it in the upcoming game. Creative Director Mac Walters state that Andromeda will still have 4 dialogue options, “4 tonnes” he states; but none of them will be seperated as good or bad. Our character will only try to express himself/herself; not trying to be “good” or “bad”.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will be out on March 21st for PC, PS4 & Xbox One.
