New Gameplay Shows What ‘Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice’ Really Is

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is an upcoming action – hack & slash title by Ninja Theory. The game is one of the most anticipated games of 2017 for us since we first laid our eyes on it.

Hellblade stands out amongst other games mostly because of its protagonist, Senua. Senua is a very very difficult character to create and from my point of view, she will be one of the most relatable protagonist of all times. Senua’s mind is dark and twisted, yet inviting. The world of Hellblade is actually a hellish underworld made up of Senua’s psychotic manifestations of her own reality and mind. This is why both Hellblade and Senua are different from other games and protagonists around.

We said that Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is an action – hack & slash title, but we know that Senua’s real advantage is her speed rather than her strength. The developers didn’t want her to be a super hero, but Senua has lots of enemies.

But before anything else, Hellblade will be more of a story-driven title and I find it the most accurate decision ever. Senua’s character is way too precious to wither away. Creative director of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Tameem Antoniades said that the team behind the game is trying to bring us a more atmospheric journey. A hellish story which we won’t hesitate to dive into.

One of the most recent news about Hellbalde is that the game features experiential puzzles. According to Tameem, these puzzles will help us uncover the back story of the game. Even, in a section of the game we don’t have our sword and we try to find our way in the pitch dark with sound clues. Here, take a look:
