Lovecraftian Horror Adventure Game Conarium Is Out

For a long time now, we’ve been waiting. We’ve been waiting for a game which will plant the seeds of Lovecraft‘s true horror to our minds. Waiting for a game which will place H.P. Lovecraft and his Cthulhu Mythos to its rightful place. Waiting for a game which will spread the terror of Cthulhu around the world.

We are seeing so many games about Lovecraft and his terrorizing nightmarish creatures from the depths of hell and darkness. Amongst these titles, Conarium comes to the forefront. But why Conarium should be a successful title since reflecting Lovecraftian horrors to a game is not an easy job?

First of all, this is not Zoetrope Interactive‘s first time creating a game based on Lovecraft’s stories. They were developing games about Lovecraftian horrors for a long time now. No doubt you have seen or played The Darkness Within series. Now, Zoetrope Interactive released Conarium, a horror adventure title which is inspired by Lovecraft’s At the Mountains of Madness.

The second one must be the Unreal Engine 4 factor. All the things we’ve imagined while reading the books will now be on our screen and I believe it will look more than real. Well, I was waiting for this moment for a long time now.

Conarium is our third project and with it we sought to deliver players a horrifying new adventure – in a style that’s typical of H.P. Lovecraft’s writing. We built on Lovecraftian lore and expanded the mythos, the game being a homage to the events of ‘At the Mountains of Madness’. With Conarium we hope to contribute to H.P. Lovecraft’s long lasting legacy of crafting a highly atmospheric yet alienating sense of place.

Conarium is now out for PC and there is a discount to celebrate the good news. You can go ahead and purchase the game for $19.99 on Steam. The game will also be released on both Xbox One and PS4 later in 2017.

Enjoy!
