Finally, Some Details About Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

The beginning is the end is the beginning.

Even it was the end of the story for our beloved Nathan, Uncharted goes on. Our Uncharted adventure will continue with a stand-alone game, The Lost Legacy.

We know that our favorite Chloe Frazer and mercenary Nadine Ross will start to a journey to India in order to search of the mythical Tusk of Ganesh. The Lost Legacy will take place after the events of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

According to Naughty Dog director of communications Arne Meyer, the game will be 10 hours long. Of course, the game’s length will change depending how you play it. If you can’t jump properly like I do, it might take several more hours.

Years ago, when we were asked if we were ever doing a single player expansion for Uncharted we always said, ‘Well, we don’t have the self-discipline to do that’. If we tried to do that we’d create a full game. There’s no way we could, sort of, constrict and restrain ourselves, and that’s exactly what was happening here. When we were doing story pitches, we were coming up with a game that would be over ten hours long and so we suddenly realised everything we said was true and we couldn’t keep it short.

Well, we are more than grateful that you couldn’t contain yourselves! The Lost Legacy will be an adventure without our most beloved protagonist, Ethan Drake. Even though we know that Ethan is having a perfect family life after his last adventure, we miss him a lot. But, the statement made by Naughty Dog is more than reassuring:

So when we were trying to revisit how we could create something in that world we found a pair of characters that fit really well and have that same kind of motivation and resilience. So it has all the same hallmarks, the same feeling that you would have in Uncharted just with different protagonists, and we’re really excited to have two incredible, dynamic female protagonists.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be released later in 2017. For more detailed information, you can visit here.

Enjoy!
