Now, we have some more detailed news to share with you. We already have a release date and a new trailer. We know that Battlefront 2 will have a single player mode and we know many more. Below, you can find the details about upcoming Star Wars game, Battlefront 2.

“In Star Wars Battlefront II, we all wanted to really capture the essence of being heroic and how in Star Wars, anyone can become a hero. Whether that’s playing as an iconic character like Rey or Luke, as a front-line trooper or fighter pilot in epic multiplayer battles, or playing through a new Star Wars story that bridges the gap between Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, you will become a hero in Star Wars Battlefront II.”

Release Date

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will hit PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 17th 2017. The game’s official website confirmed the release date.

The Single-player Story

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 set in after the events of Return of the Jedi and will fill the blanks between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. Even so, we will get to see characters and locations from “all eras” of Star Wars timeline while playing multiplayer.

The single player campaign tells the story of Iden Versio, an Imperial commander. Versio seeks a way to avenge the Emperor after the destruction of the Death Star. Most of the time, we will be witnessing the story from the eyes of the Emperor, but we will get to play the other characters such as Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren.

Walt Williams, the writer of Significant Zero and Spec Ops: The Line is working on the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront 2 story.

What about Multiplayer?

Up to 40 players, people! The multiplayer matches of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 can hold up to 40 players. Trooper has a class system and can be upgraded as you play.

Along with that, heroes also can be upgraded. As we play, we will unlock their abilities. So, who are the playable characters, you say. Well, Darth Maul, Yoda, Luke Skywalker, Rey, and Kylo Ren. We’ve already mentioned that we will get to see characters and locations from “all eras” of Star Wars timeline. Imagine the battlefield.
