Ex-Valve writer published his version of Half-Life 2: Episode 3’s story

Marc Laidlaw, the ex-Valve writer who is famous with Half-Life series, previously published his version of Half-Life 2: Episode 3.

We can all admit that we all have our different versions of Half-Life 2: Episode 3. It has been too long and we almost gave up hope when Marc Laidlaw announced his departure from Valve in 2016. But still, we hoped for the best and continued dreaming.

As gender-swapped fan fiction, Marc Laidlaw published a fictional summary about Half-Life 2: Episode 3’s story. The story is written by Gertie Fremont, there is a ship named Hyperborea and an enemy alien named Disparate. There is not much to say after that if you are familiar with Half-Life series. You know what to do.

You can read Marc Laidlaw’s Epistle 3 by visiting here. Epistle 3 is somehow satisfying, yet again, so many questions left unanswered. Still, the ending is open to comment. Previously, Laidlaw said that Half-Life 3 would end like Half-Life 1 and Half-Life 2, without resolution and as a cliffhanger. This statement also settled into my head as a restless thought.

We still have no idea what future holds for Half-Life 2: Episode 3, but let us hope for the best.

Stay tuned for more!
