Beautiful Doom 6.2.0 Mod for Original Doom is Now Available

Wow fellas. It has been an interesting month for modders, right? They get better and better every single day. And I should say that I’m impressed by their dedication and success on creating good stuff.

And today, we have more news for mod lovers. Especially for those who like old classics but want to see them getting better. Without further ado, I would like to introduce you The classic Doom mod, Beautiful Doom version 6.2.0. And it is now available for download. Modder Jekyll_Grim_Payne, who started this project in 2008, has recently released the latest version. And it looks pretty good if you ask me.

Just like a better looking grandpa

The mod itself mainly focuses on improving visuals, objects and animations. So far, the mod has implemented many improvements to the game. A couple of blood effects, objects, creatures as well as weapon animations have been modified. As far as we can see, the game looks better and it runs smoother thanks to the mod. Briefly, we can say that the mod improves details while keeping the original gameplay as it is.

In addition to the visuals, the mod offers a couple of new features like new BFG9000 attack. The weapon is deadlier than before. And to be honest, the sound effect of the weapon suits really well to the new attack mode. Moreover, one another thing improved with this mod is the resurrection of Arch-Vile.
