Black The Fall Is an Inside-Like Dystopian Puzzle Platformer

I don’t really know that Inside-like is the true description for any game since we still have doubt what was Inside about really. There are a lot of speculations about the central topic of Inside, but still, it was a great experience with great visuals.

We can say that Black The Fall reminds us Inside since the gameplay mechanics and the style are similar to Inside. Black The Fall is also a challenging puzzle-platformer set in a dark and mysterious world. But when it comes to Black The Fall, the subject of the game differs from others.

After decades of toil, an old machinist plots his escape from Communism, through manipulation and scheming. Along the road, he befriends the most unlikely creature, an abandoned robot. Could they solve the puzzles and flee this bleak world together?

Black The Fall offers great puzzles with minimalistic game design. Through this dark but shiny world, we try to escape from the Communist regime. Along the way, our companion, a little robot, helps us solve the puzzles and gives us courage.

With Black The Fall we really want to capture the feeling of what it was like to live in the communist state, and have been inspired by the first-hand experiences of our families. The world Black lives in might be fictional, but the system trying to beat him down is as bleak and oppressive as it has been in many countries around the world.

Romania only broke free of the shackles of the Soviet bloc less than 30 years ago, so for many people living in the country today the memories are still fresh. We decided to take those stories and illustrate just what it was like to live within a restrictive regime in a game.
