Steam Greenlight is Closed and Steam Direct is Coming

Valve recently closed the Greenlight feature of Steam and implemented a new one, Steam Direct. Since the very beginning of the Steam Greenlight, millions of players voted for future products. It was a really good idea to get customers and developpers on a same platform to show players’ interest on products and to have a feedback from them. And soon, we will have another way to give feedback and vote for the games we want to play.

A new way to express yourself

The main idea behind this decision is to make it easier to have an idea on new products. It will be required from the developpers to wait 30 days before they can release anything on Steam Direct. During that time, Valve will have a chance to decide it the future product meets the requirements or not. And of course, a refund will be available for the worst case scenario.

Steam Direct will be available on June 13. Until that time, Valve will be working on old Greenlight games and decide which one is going to stay or not. And until that day, votings will be unavailable for the users.

Stay tuned for more news fellas.
