PlayStation 3 Production Shut Down

After 10 years, PlayStation 3 is no more.

PlayStation 3 was first released on November 11, 2006. From that day, it gave us endless pleasure and a splendid gaming experience. But, today we must face the inevitable truth. I regret to say that Sony has announced that it will soon end production of the console in Japan. And after that, all world will follow.

There is no specific date for when Sony will stop production, but on Sony’s website you can see the “shipments are scheduled to end soon” statement. It is no surprise since we know that Sony works on a ten-year production cycle for all of its consoles.

It is not that we are going to bury our old friend when Sony stopped production, but we must ready ourselves. Since there is no production, there will be less and less support for PlayStation 3. Still, it is a huge success being able to resist existing after the launch of PlayStation 4.

So long and thanks for all the fish, PlayStation 3!
